The gap

Jira backup stops where Zephyr begins.

Zephyr Scale Cloud stores test cases, execution history, steps, and other test-management records outside Jira’s native data model. Atlassian states that its backup product does not include Marketplace app data.

Manual reports can answer individual questions. They do not produce one portable repository copy with an integrity manifest, explicit collection boundaries, and a readable before-and-after history.

Install the Jira app

A Jira administrator installs the private beta and opens Test Vault from Jira administration.

Connect Zephyr

A revocable API token is encrypted in installation-scoped Forge storage. Test Vault issues read-only Zephyr requests.

Capture and compare

Run a snapshot immediately or enable daily capture. Download the ZIP, integrity manifest, and factual change report from Jira.
